Packing, marking, private label

The bag matters more than you think.

Half the arrival complaints in this trade come down to packing. Wrong liner, wrong weave, wrong marking, and a perfectly good lot turns into a claim.

Format 01

PP woven bags

25 kg and 50 kg, with or without an inner liner. The default for seeds moving in bulk. Cheap, strong, and fine as long as the weave suits the product.

25 kg50 kgLiner optional
Format 02

Jute bags

Traditional, breathable, and required by some buyers for whole spices. Needs a food grade liner if the product is oily or fine.

Format 03

Paper bags

Multi wall kraft for hulled sesame, psyllium and powders where a woven bag would shed fibre into the product.

Format 04

Jumbo bags

One tonne FIBC for buyers with bulk handling. Saves labour at your end and cuts packing cost, provided your warehouse can lift them.

Format 05

Cartons

10 kg, 20 kg and 25 kg for chilli and for anything that bruises. Also the format most retail programmes ship inside.

Format 06

Vacuum and MAP

For long transit, higher value lots or products where volatile oil loss is the concern. Costs more and is worth it less often than sellers suggest.

Marking

What goes on
the bag.

Marking follows your instruction. If you do not give one, we use the set below, which clears customs in most destinations. Check it against your own market rules before you confirm.

  • Product name and description
  • Net and gross weight
  • Lot or batch number
  • Crop year, packing month
  • Country of origin
  • Exporter name and address
  • Buyer marks and shipping marks

Private label

Your brand,
our packing
line.

Retail packing is a different business from bulk export. Minimum quantities are higher, artwork approval takes longer, and labelling law is the buyer's responsibility with our help, not the other way round.

01  Artwork

You send print ready artwork. We check declarations, weights and barcode placement against your market's rules and flag what looks wrong.

02  Proof

A printed proof or a filled dummy pack goes to you before the run. Approve it in writing and the plate is made.

03  Run

Filled, sealed, coded and cartoned. Retained samples from the run are filed here against the batch code.

Labelling compliance for your market stays your responsibility. We will point out what looks off, but we are not your regulatory adviser.

Send your artwork.

Or ask for the pack sizes and minimums before you commission a designer.
