Where the crop comes from
Traceability we can prove.
Buying at a mandi means buying from a market, not from a named farm. Anyone who tells you otherwise while quoting mandi prices is selling you a story.
The honest version
A mandi lot can be traced to the seller, the village and the day it arrived. It cannot be traced to a single field unless it was bought that way from the start.
Both models are legitimate. The mandi gives you price discovery and volume; direct buying gives you a paper trail back to a grower group. They cost different amounts and they are not interchangeable, so we quote them separately.
For most bulk contracts, mandi purchase with lot level records is enough. The record shows the seller, the arrival date, the village of origin as declared, the lot number and every test run on it. That will satisfy an ordinary due diligence question.
If you need farm level traceability for a certification or a retail claim, say so before we quote. It changes where we buy, what it costs, and how long it takes to assemble the volume.

Mandi purchase
Bought at the Unjha yard or another APMC. Records go down to the lot and the seller.

Model B
Direct grower purchase
Bought from identified growers or a farmer group, ahead of the mandi. Costs more and takes longer to build volume.

- Volumes agreed before sowing where possible

- Payment to sellers on agreed terms, without the delays this trade is known for.
- Rejected material returned or downgraded rather than blended into a good lot.
- Cleaning waste sold on for feed and fuel rather than dumped.
- Residue awareness discussed with regular suppliers, though we cannot control field practice at a mandi.
No sustainability certification is claimed here. When one is in place, it will appear on the certifications page with a number.
