About this product
How we buy it
Chilli is bought on two numbers that pull against each other: colour value and pungency. A bright red, low heat chilli and a dull, fiery one are different crops, not different grades of the same thing, and blending them is how most disappointing lots happen. Tell us the colour and the heat you need, and whether the powder is going into a retail pack or a seasoning line, and we will mill from the right variety rather than from whatever is cheapest that week.
Retail masala packs, seasoning blends, snack and extruded seasoning, sauces and pickles, ready meals, and oleoresin extraction.
This one ships as powder. We hold the whole spice and mill close to your shipment date, because ground spice loses its aroma on a shelf, not in a container.
The tariff has a line named for chilli powder, so there is no ambiguity here. Chilli seed, if you buy it separately, is 0904 22 12.
What to send us
Four lines is enough
- Quantity you are looking at
- Packing you want it in
- Destination port
- Any specification your side works to
Specification, tolerance and packing are agreed in the contract for each shipment rather than fixed on a web page — the right answer changes with your end use, the season and your destination.

Cleaned, checked and documented
Samples are drawn when the lot comes in, and again from the finished goods before your container is loaded — so what you approved is what sails. Third-party inspection is arranged whenever you ask for it, and you get photographs of the loaded container either way.
